ketchup

holy smokes, what a great month this has been so far. i've been too busy having way too much fun.

first off, i went and saw a Roller Derby presented by LA Derby Dolls.

it was great! a lot of fun. sexy ladies at high speeds knocking each other down. i really didn’t understand the rules and they are still a little foggy, but still a lot of fun. all the girls have these great names like, Stabitha, Suzy Snake-Eyes, Anita Kill, Thora Zeen, Mollytov Cocktails, etc.

as we watched the chaos, my friend Blaine and i made up new names for future girls that join the league. names like: Jill Killya, Electric Cher, Helena HandBasket, Phyllis Killer, Holly Kost, Cross Ida, Death Roanne, Dr. Beverly Crusher (nerd alert)- you get the idea.

it was really awesome and i thank Barbara, Vera and Blaine for taking me.

but if that wasn’t awesome enough...then i attended Lucha Va Voom!

oh man, oh man! what a super superb show. one of my favorite things in the world is masked wrestlers or Luchadores. those high flying daredevils are awesome. and mix that with sultry vixens- yikes stripes, beachnut gum! Spinning eyeballs abound.

it was thrilling, funny, exciting, sexy, and had me jumping up and down with funderment (which is a new word meaning super swell monster sized fun times). thanks to Barbara for getting me a ticket to the event for my birthday.

oh yeah! did i mention it was also my birthday just recently?
yep, sunday the 13th was my 28th birthday. i guess i’m getting pretty old, but who cares, i feel great. and guess what? i got me my astronuat space pen.

but i didn’t get to rest for very long, cause then just 4 short days later, me and the boys from The Pretty Okay Ho-hum Spectacular on Ice! did a big time sketch show at The Comedy Central Stage.

it was a great show. the audience was filled with friends, family, fans, big wigs, and even Steve Guttenburg. i had a lot of fun and we and the boys made those people laugh. now that always makes me feel good. if you’d like see more pictures from the show click here.

big special thanks to Meredith Jenks for taking all those great photos.
and big thanks to everyone who made that show possible; Allison, Davey, Michael, Eric, Anthony, Lesley, James, Meg-hand, ZzalgernOn, Meredith, Maria, Andy, Paul, Neil, Ann, all the guys from Fireball Deluxe, all the people from The Comedy Central Stage, Everyone who came to the show and of course DeMorge, Pat, Danforth, and Josh- my comedy siblings.

but it’s not over yet, gang…the friday after that Danforth France and i found ourselves playing The Poubelle Twins.

we were at Bricktops. i was Bibi and Danforth was Fifi. thanks to the twins for asking us to do that for them- it was really a lot of fun to do.

at one point, Danforth and i were standing towards the back of the crowed club in our matching outfits, he turned to me and summed it all up with one phrase, “I love this town.”
if anything, these last few weeks have proved to me that yes, indeed- i love this town.

ALL these events and people who i have talked about are fantastic and well worth checking out and hopefully becoming friends with.

i love this town.
